
Shining a Light on Our Just Enterprise Partners
Since we started delivering Just Enterprise in 2011, we’ve worked closely with a number of different partners to ensure that we deliver innovative business support in ways that people want and in line with the Scottish Government’s remit for the programme.
Whilst we may be the lead partner in Just Enterprise, it is very much a team effort, and the consortium of partners that help deliver it are vital to its success. To that end, we wanted to shine a light on each partner and what they do.
CEMVO Scotland
CEMVO Scotland is a national intermediary organisation and strategic partner of the Scottish Government Equality Unit. Their mission is to level the playing field for Scotland’s ethnic minority voluntary sector and its communities. They achieve this by building capacity and mobilising skills in organisations and their people; fostering both individual and collective leadership; enabling active participation in community, democratic and civic life. CEMVO lead on providing Just Enterprise support ethnic minority focused organisations.
Community Enterprise Ltd
Community Enterprise is Scotland’s most responsive and effective provider of highly skilled support, helping communities and social enterprises to turn great ideas into reality. They offer a number of services, from business support and development, marketing and brand development and community support. Community Enterprise provide Just Enterprise support across central Scotland.
Firstport
Firstport Scotland’s agency for start-up social entrepreneurs and social enterprise. They are here to support individuals across Scotland to start, develop and grow their ideas into businesses with social impact at their core.
Firstport is a registered charity and started work in 2007 to help social entrepreneurs bring forward their ideas and to make them happen. Since then they have grown and evolved, supported thousands of individuals and distributed millions of pounds of start-up funding, all with the aim to achieve their vision:

Forth Sector Development

Lanarkshire Enterprise Services Ltd (LESL)
Providing Just Enterprise services in Lanarkshire, LESL provide Councils, Public Sector Organisations and SMEs with consultancy, training and specialist support services. So people can stand out from the competition and grow their business.
With over 30 years’ experience of the enterprise and economic development landscape in Scotland, working alongside Scottish businesses, LESL understand how important specialist support is to build a resilient, successful high growth company.
Impact Hub Inverness
Impact Hub Inverness is a flexible co-working space in the centre of Inverness established to bring together lone workers, to combat social isolation and to encourage collaboration and social entrepreneurship. It is a space to work and to connect with likeminded individuals and organisations. Through Just Enterprise, they offer free specialist one-to-one business support to social enterprises. Including support with strategic and business planning, governance, marketing, crisis review and business recovery. They also offer consultancy services. IHI provide Just Enterprise services in Highland, Moray, The Western Isles and the Northern Isles.
Inspiralba
Inspiralba was set up in 2009 with the aim of supporting economic growth that delivers social and environmental benefits for communities in Argyll and Bute.
They do this by providing services to community-based non-profit distributing organisations, with a focus on emerging, developing and established social enterprises in Argyll and Bute.
They work with community enterprises, to develop and grow their business activities providing support with business and growth planning; marketing strategies; project development and management support; financial planning and management support.
Inspiralba provide Just Enterprise services in Argyll and Bute.
Social Enterprise Academy Scotland
Social Enterprise Academy Scotland work at local and national levels, bringing together learners to share and learn together, at all stages of personal and organisational growth. They deliver innovative programmes that empower people in Scotland and around the world to step up and effect social change.
Social Value Lab
Social Value Lab deliver innovative programmes that empower people in Scotland and around the world to step up and effect social change. They are an agency with a difference; part consultancy, part think tank, part incubator. Their passion is for social change, with a commitment to social enterprise and a focus on outcomes.
