Realising Potential – next steps for social enterprise in Scotland – September 2010
Our Realising Potential – next steps for social enterprise in Scotland conference brought together 240 social enterprise leaders, practitioners, supporters and policy makers to establish vision and priorities for social enterprise. Our ambition for the event was to inspire, inform and engage participants and the report below collates opinions, comments, questions and responses to enhance the exchanges that took place during the event itself.
As social enterprises and policy makers prepare for the next phase of development for our “enterprising third sector,” many of the topics discussed on the day are extremely relevant to our current and future environment. The rationalisation of intermediary activity, the increasing focus on procurement and new approaches to purchasing outcomes, all generated significant discussion during the event. This report contains a range of informed and detailed responses to the questions posed to speakers on the day, we are grateful to all our speakers for the time taken in preparing for the event, delivering great performances on the day and responding to the queries we gathered using our crystal interactive technology.
