Vancouver to Calgary Visit Programme September 27th to October 4th
International visit programmes are once in a lifetime experiences with inspirational social enterprises, great networking, fascinating cultural settings and outstanding locations.
From Friday September 27th to Friday October 4th, CEiS are co-ordinating a Learning and Development Programme for social enterprise leaders across the world incorporating social enterprise visits on the road from Vancouver to Calgary, culminating with The 2013 Social Enterprise World Forum.
This will be the seventh international visit programme following successful and inspiring visits to California in 2007, Berlin/Genoa in 2008, Australia in 2009, San Francisco/Vancouver and Seattle in 2010, South Africa in 2011 and Rio de Janeiro in 2012. These high paced programmes allow participants to interact with international social enterprises while spending quality contact time with policy makers, funders, support agencies and social enterprise practitioners from the UK and around the world.
The programme will:
- Provide high quality enterprise visits to outstanding social enterprises in inspiring locations
- Provide opportunities to engage with local enterprise leaders and policy makers
- Generate once in a lifetime networking opportunities with international social enterprise leaders
- Influence future investment, development programmes and policy initiatives in the UK and the world
- Provide learning and networking opportunities through attendance at the Social Enterprise World Forum

Friday 27th September – Participant arrival to Vancouver to join the international group
Saturday 28th September – Vancouver Study Visits
Sunday 29th September – Bus to Osoyoos and NK’MIP Resort
Monday 30th September - Bus to Revelstoke incorporating social enterprise visits including Community Futures Revelstoke
Tuesday 1st October – Bus to Calgary via lunch and tour in Golden & or Banff with a breathtaking drive over the Rockies
Wednesday 2nd October – SEWF visit programme in Calgary www.sewf2013.com
Thursday 3rd October – SEWF and Gala Dinner
Friday 4th October – SEWF
